Partnership

In order to achieve the best results possible from the implementation of the Regioclima project a balanced partnership was formed, comprising 5 Regional Authorities (in Spain, Italy, Greece, France & Slovakia), one academic/research institution (in Estonia), a regional agency for entrepreneurship and innovation (in Bulgaria) and a Local Development Agency (in Cyprus). Making best use of e-tools, the eight partners collaborated closely in the development of the project and the timely submission of the application.

The partnership is constituted by eight partner organizations that cover geographically the area of the European Union as a whole. In addition the variety of the different kind of organizations that are included in the partnership forms a very strong team which is able to cover the subject in question from various and different aspects.

The project action aims at the development of the knowledge base and skills of the partnership, the direct improvement of regional strategies and a possible improvement of regional policies (especially with regard to integration of climate change adaptation considerations in sectoral policies). It is noted that policy action will seek to define measures that are well suited to the regional context. Therefore, regional cooperation will involve not only common activities for all participating regions but also joint initiatives among sub-groups within the partnership (North/Central/South Europe).
