Slovakia (Partner 4) Bratislava Self-Governing Region (further as BaSGR) is the one of 8 Regional Authorities (NUTS III) of SLOVAKIA which includes and surrounds the capital - Bratislava city - the socio-economical metropolis with the highest economical & educational potential and strong influence among all Slovak regions. Bratislava is naturally a seat of majority of public and non-public institutions, parliament, and ministries. BaSGR is at the same time in neighborhood with other two EU countries-Austria and Hungary. Ba SGR uses its competencies to govern many public sectors (regional development, terrestrial planning, environment, education-youth-sport, social services, healthcare, culture, tourism, transport infrastructure). BaSGR has broad experience with activities of regional development and planning, cross-border cooperation and partnerships (e.g. INTERREG, CENTROPE). In the field of project & programme development and management, BaSGR welcomes open cooperation with experienced partners. In new types of projects BaSGR opts to cooperate with external partner to bring dynamics and experience in both initiation and implementation of the projects. Agency “Euroforward” is a project development and implementation agency with broad experience, know-how and administrative capacity to support BaSGR in leading the project. Bratislava Self-governing Region has broad experience with activities of regional development and planning using financing via both pre-accession and structural funds (PHARE, Cohesion Fund, EFRD, ESF) cross-border cooperation and partnerships (e.g. INTERREG, CENTROPE). Bratislava Self-governing Region may contribute to an overall coherence of the RegioClima project and fulfillment of its goals, as well as to activities implemented within the project, where the willingness to mutual communication and search of common solutions on European level will play a significant role.
